This is a quintessential Detroit loft, capturing just what the city is all about- taking something old and making it new, breathing new life into it.
This gorgeous loft is located in a 1920’s automotive factory, and has retained some of those original characters like the exposed brick, hardwood floors, wood pillars and other little details reminding all that it was a bustling factory.

Located in an industrial / up and coming area.
Easily access everything Detroit has to offer in 3-10 min.

There may be some noise from neighbors, hallway, or parking lot, but usually it’s pretty quiet. Overall this unit is located in a quiet area of the building where neighbors don’t have parties.

For everyone’s safety and peace of mind, I will be ramping up sanitation practices in my housekeeping to include: sanitizing all handles and door knobs, all surfaces, touch points, etc. between each booking.

Our neighborhood is called Milwaukee Junction. It is historically an industrial area which drew the implantation of the train junction. Today it is still mainly an industrial area, however, it is an UP AND COMING neighborhood with many old factories converted to lofts, bars, music venues and community spaces. To an outsider, this might not be outwardly apparent. In order to be transparent about the neighborhood, I should mention that there is an abandoned building in the vicinity. There are NEVER any squatters or shady activity over there. The other buildings surrounding the loft complex are in fact in use as warehouses and factories. If you’re not familiar with the area, it may seem sketchy but I can assure you it’s a quiet and safe neighborhood.

The people who occupy this building are friendly, and it feels like a community. Our neighbors include a diverse set of artists, students, young professionals, young families, and some people who have been living here for 10+ years.

Private developers are currently investing $20M into the neighborhood to create a residential and entertainment district. With a quick google of our neighborhood you will find these plans, and see that in a few years it will be even more amazing than it is now!

Later, I worked at a hostel in Crete, which was an awesome experience and just solidified my sense of belonging in the hospitality industry.
