Private double bedroom available in one of Christchurch's prestigious quiet, gated communities for your peace of mind and for peace and quiet while travelling or resting, so you won't be bothered by excessive road noises or parties!
This modern executive home is warm and cosy with a large family modern bathroom (with bath-tub) and a separate toilet that is yours during your stay.
In your room there are complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, T.V. (with built-in DVD-player if you wish to bring some DVDs) and continuous free WiFi are in your room and across the property. The room also features a spacious wardrobe so you can easily unpack your things and store them out of the way during your stay, including your suitcases (further storage is under the bed, which is high enough).
Bed is a queen and has electric blankets as well an additional duvet for your comfort on colder days to keep you warm and snuggly! The home is double-glazed and heated as well as receiving all-day sun.
Towels, shampoo and body-wash are provided for you in the bathroom, which as noted you will have to yourself during your stay.
We understand that many travellers like their own security and privacy which we respect and have hence set the rooms out this way if that's the case, however, feel free to use the kitchen which has a toaster, jug, Nespresso Creatista coffee machine etc.
COOKING: We do ask that NO AROMATIC COOKING OR COOKING OF FISH BE DONE during your stay, for the comfort of other travellers, due to these aromas. There are many local seafood-based restaurants locally, and also fresh fish available through local cafes - so please ask :).
There are many local cafes, restaurants and bars nearby, as well as local supermarkets nearby that have some wonderful deli foods if you're feeling hungry!
Being a gated community, we do ask that guests respect the rules of no excess noise (no parties, loud stereos etc) which also ensures you a restful sleep if you've just landed from an overnight flight and feel jet-lagged! It also provides added security for your during your stay with us.
There is plenty of parking on the road in front of the premises, however, due to the regulations of the area, there are restrictions of vans and campervans/RVs. Cars and SUVs etc. are fine and, as noted, there is plenty of parking on the road right outside for this.
There are many conveniences locally; nearby is Northwood Supa Centre, which has many stores, two supermarkets and eateries. Just a short few mins. walk away you will find our local cafe by the Styx Mill Country Club ('The Option'), which is a great place to unwind with a glass of wine, a coffee or even a snack, lunch, brunch or dinner!
The local supermarkets (New World and Countdown) are about a 20/25 minute walk away and both have many fresh deli items. The Styx Mill Reserve nearby is also a great place to talk a walk and unwind. The Groynes Park is also a short drive away.
The renown Willowbank Wildlife Reserve (which has live Kiwis to see!) is just down the road about a 20 min. walk away and also features a cafe. Here, you can see many exotic animals, birds and aquatic life from NZ and around the world - including the NZ Kea, a species of parrot native to NZ.
For shopping, Northlands Mall is also just a short drive down the road with many shops and the new Spitfire Centre near the airport is also close by with Mexican, Japanese, Indian, Cantonese and Kiwi cuisines, which is easily accessed from the nearby motorway.
CHECK-IN TIME is 2:00PM - 11:30PM, however, if you are arriving later, we can accomodate you, just let us know! If you have luggage you wish to drop off earlier, this can be arranged.
Note that there will be NO EARLY CHECK-IN prior to 2:00PM. This is so that we can get the rooms ready and tidy for you when you arrive.
CHECK-OUT TIME is 10:00AM, which allows us to prepare the room(s) for other guests.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU CHECK-OUT BY 10:00AM AND NO LATER. As noted, this allows us to prepare the room and clean for other guests.

You will have your own spacious modern bathroom and also access to the living area opening onto the outdoor patio area to relax and the kitchen to use the toaster, coffee-machine etc. or for preparing cold foods/sandwiches etc.

As we also have a home office, I'm usually about during the day so love to chat or to give you advice about the local attractions etc. or help with anything during your stay.

We will be available to give you your keys so you can come and go as you please and show you around on arrival.
Self check-in is also available if we are not home, through a lock-box entry.
When travelling, guests are always different, so happy to chat or allow you to do your own thing.
Note check in is FROM 2:00PM - 11:30PM, but we can arrange self check-in after this time if you are on a late flight.
Check-out is BY 10:00AM. Check-out after 10:00AM will incur a late check-out fee of $25.00.
