This is my wife’s home, where she grew up, and today it’s the place we share with people from all over the world. This is our actual home, so we appreciate guests who communicate openly and treat the space with care. It’s a peaceful home, so keeping that vibe is important to us.
You might see Leo's family stopping by with fruits, my sister who lives nearby, and, for sure, Luna, our sweet and very relaxed dog. We enjoy having our own quiet time, but we also genuinely like meeting new people.

This room has a door opening directly into the living room, which gives it a slightly different feel - almost like having a private office connected to the main living space. Because of this, it’s a great option if you’re coming to Lisbon to work remotely and enjoy being connected to the rest of the home.
My wife and I share the apartment with one other flatmate and, of course, Luna, our dog and very much part of the family. 💜
Our apartment is in a beautiful residential area - quiet and peaceful, but still very central. You can easily get around on foot, and we’re just a 7-minute walk from Rato metro station, with plenty of restaurants, cafés and shops nearby.
We live in a beautiful architectural landmark in Campo de Ourique. It’s one of the things we love most about living here: the building has a lot of character, original details and a history you can really feel.
Being a protected historic building also means that it comes with a few quirks. There are parts of the structure that simply can’t be changed or modernised in the same way they could in a newer apartment. 📍
So, if you’re looking for something sleek and recently renovated, our home probably isn’t that. But if you like character, history and staying somewhere that feels genuinely lived in, we think you’ll enjoy it here.
The apartment has two bathrooms. You’ll use the bathroom shown in the photos, normally sharing it with just one other person when we’re hosting someone else. Depending on who is staying with us, there may also be periods when you have it entirely to yourself.
If you have any questions about the setup, just ask us before or during your stay and we’ll happily explain how things are working at that time.
And if anything in the house isn’t working as expected or there’s something you need, please tell us when it comes up. We’re always happy to help, and we’d much rather have the chance to sort something out while you’re here.
You’ll also be living with Luna 🐶
Luna is 8 years old and has mastered the art of doing very little. Most days she sleeps, looks for a sunny spot and generally enjoys the good life.
She’s very quiet and sweet, and her biggest demand will probably be a few cuddles every now and then.
The living room
The living room is spacious and full of natural light, with a balcony where you can watch the sunset, have a meal, work or simply hang out.
We work from here too, but that doesn’t mean you need to disappear into your room when we’re around. The common spaces really are common spaces. Bring your laptop, make a coffee, read your book, have a chat with us or just do your own thing.
There’s also a hammock from Brazil (I’m Brazilian), so it’s a little piece of home that has found its place in Lisbon. People absolutely love it, and it’s quite special to us. 🇧🇷
It’s a relaxed room for watching TV, listening to music, reading or doing absolutely nothing. We also have a collection of books and CDs that you’re very welcome to explore.
The kitchen
Our kitchen is fully equipped with pretty much every utensil you could need. We love cooking, so this is definitely a kitchen that’s meant to be used.
Feel free to cook while you’re here. And don’t be surprised if there’s occasionally something homemade being passed around the house.
This is a real home
More than anything, we want to be transparent about what staying here feels like.
This is very much a shared, lived-in home. We work here, cook, listen to music, have friends over and spend time in the common spaces. You might see family stopping by, someone making dinner, Luna sleeping somewhere she probably shouldn’t, or simply everyone quietly getting on with their day.
We enjoy meeting the people who stay with us, but we also value everyone having their own space and quiet time. Especially for longer stays, we find that open communication makes sharing a home much easier for everyone.
We take good care of our home and simply ask that you treat it with the same care while you’re here.
And finally, we absolutely love Campo de Ourique. There are so many good restaurants, cafés, shops and little neighbourhood spots around us, and we’ll be very happy to share our favourites with you.
