Stay in a spacious two-room suite inside a shared historic farmhouse on a farm, with a collection of around 200 board games to explore during your stay.
This north-facing main-floor suite has plenty of room to spread out, with a queen bed plus a twin daybed with a trundle. There is ample space for remote work, puzzles, or a game night.
The suite is especially well suited to families, friends traveling together, or guests who simply want more space than a typical private room.

Built in 1785, this beautiful historic country manor sits beside a pond and meadow on an operating farm, with access to roughly 50 acres of forest and trails.
The house feels tucked away in nature without being remote. Brick walkways lead from parking to the farmhouse, and the setting has the character—and occasional rhythms—of a real working farm. Depending on the season, you may hear frogs and crickets at night, wake to birds in the morning, or spot goats, chickens, foxes, and other wildlife around the property.
Guests are welcome to explore the walking trails, including a creekside route that is best suited to intermediate hikers. The property is especially well suited to creatives, game lovers, families, remote workers, or anyone who wants the comfort of a house while still feeling immersed in nature and close to everyday convenience.
The manor itself was relocated to the farm by its original family in the 1970s and is now part of a sustainability project led by two brothers, with the goal of preserving the natural beauty of the land while creating space for community, creativity, and retreat.
Seasonally, fresh eggs and vegetables from the farm may also be available during your stay - just ask if you're interested.
Come for a quiet farm stay, read on the patio above the pond, hike through the woods, choose something familiar or new from the 200-game library, or simply use the farmhouse as a peaceful home base for a longer visit.
Despite the secluded feel, everyday conveniences are close by. Lowe’s and Target are just minutes away, the YMCA is about a 20-minute drive, several shopping centers are within roughly 10 minutes, and historic downtown Fredericksburg is within easy driving distance. The property also sits conveniently between Richmond and Washington, D.C.
It’s a rare mix: woods, water, board games, wildlife, history, and room to breathe—with errands, groceries, shopping, and town still close at hand.

Please note: because this is an old, shared farmhouse, sound carries more easily than it would in a newer building. You may hear other guests or household members moving around, talking, or using shared spaces during normal daytime and evening hours.
Quiet hours for everyone in the house are 10:30 PM to 8:00 AM, and we ask all guests to be considerate of voices, music, television, and excess noise during that time.
