Here’s what you asked for in 2021—and what we built in response
Host feedback helps inspire changes we make to our products and services
Hosting Experiences safely while navigating a global pandemic has been, and continues to be, a huge challenge for our community. But over the past year, you’ve welcomed guests to thousands of one-of-a-kind Experiences, both online and in person.
We’re so thankful for your continued commitment to hosting through this difficult time, and we’re excited to provide you with new tools to help you grow your business in the year ahead.
We’re always striving to improve our products and services, and your feedback guides these efforts. Here are just a few examples of what we accomplished together last year:
- You wanted tips and info dedicated to hosting Experiences, so we created a Resource Center just for you
- You asked for ways to better accommodate families, so we added optional pricing for children participating with adults
- You needed to reduce the impact of last-minute cancellations, so we rolled out a flexible Experiences cancellation policy
- You wanted Hosts of accommodations to be able to easily tell guests about your Experiences, so we built a simple tool for sharing recommendations
- You requested help making your Experience stand out, so we introduced a free video feature that lets you work with editing pros to create great visuals
- You sought a more efficient way to communicate routine info to guests, so we added tools for searching and filtering messages and for sending quick replies
- You expressed interest in hosting more people per group, so we delivered new options for private groups and Online Experiences for teams (which many companies used to engage their employees in fun ways)
- You asked for more data to help you identify opportunities, so we made the Insights tab in your hosting dashboard available on mobile devices
- You told us that viewing your Experience on a smartphone was awkward, so we optimized listings for mobile devices
