At the end of our two hour class, I look forward to hearing you say “I CAN draw and this is FUN!” I’m Gene Hamm and in my How to Draw Caricatures class, we will make drawing simple as we utilize tips and tricks, I acquired from years of experience working in Hollywood animation studios. This How to Caricature class starts with me drawing a caricature of you. Then you draw along with me, as we move on to drawing a cartoon character from every angle utilizing simple yet professional tips and tricks. - Learn the art and science of winemaking. We’ll start with a stroll through an idyllic vineyard for a firsthand look at the vines. As we walk the rows, I’ll share why this area is the perfect place to grow Burgundy grapes, including pinot noir and chardonnay. Then, we’ll blend wines that have been aged in separate barrels to make a classic red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec Petit Verdot and/or Cabernet Franc. - Let's turn grocery store ingredients into restaurant-worthy dishes. Many of my guests are stunned to learn how simple it is to create these delicious dishes. First, we'll introduce ourselves to break the ice. Then we'll go right into hands-on cooking! We'll start with making ricotta cheese in a very simple way with ingredients that you are likely to already have at home. We'll also create a simple tartine and "grown-up mac 'n cheese" using a few simple ingredients, including the ricotta cheese that you just made. In the process, you'll have a chance to take a virtual tour of my garden here in California wine country to learn about culinary herbs and edible flowers. I will teach you ways to use the whey, which is a byproduct of cheesemaking. Once we finish cooking, we will sit and taste what we created and talk about the recipes, the experience, and life in wine country. We'll even drink some wine together, and I will make some suggestions for you about matching wine with what we made. This Experience is great for team-building or celebrating a special occasion.
