Forge a silver ring with Jewellers
Learn how to make a sterling silver ring from scratch, with our AWARD WINNING EXPERIENCE! Start off by marking your silver to the length you require by choosing which finger you would like it on. Then, you'll use a handsaw to cut it to size, you'll learn how to form the ring, using a mallet to shape it to the ring mandrel. You'll watch as it is soldered in front of you by an expert tutor—all the time, she will explain exactly what she is doing. Then you'll learn to file it by using different hand files—this is fun, as it is when you get to individualize your ring, deciding what curve you would like it to have. This can make a great difference to the end result. Next, you'll choose from three very different textures. You get to use your creativity with the planishing hammer to achieve the texture you require. People love this part as it's when you make your ring truly individual. Finally you get to choose your polish. Some people like it polished only on the inside, to give it an artistic/rustic look. Others like the glittery sparkle of a fully polished ring. It's your decision. Then the best bit—you get to keep your ring! It's the ultimate souvenir for remembering your trip to Ireland. Enjoy! Other things to note We like to keep our classes small & intimate so our clients get the most out of the experience. Therefore, we kindly request if you are in a group, please book under the one person. If this isn't possible, please do message us, so we can ensure you are kept together for the experience! :)

Hive Mind Beekeeping Experience
Our day will begin with a meet-and-greet; where I will run though the safety aspects of beekeeping. Stings are rare when safety is well considered. Now, it's time to get nerdy. We will discuss what happens within the colony, the social structure and the roles each honeybee has to play within the superorganism of the hive. The importance of the honeybee to our own lives; and to the world at large cannot be underestimated. The more that we know, the more that we can do to affect a change. Apiary tour: this is where we watch the bees at work. We find out what plants they are foraging, and why, on that specific day. By now you should be confident enough to get your bee suits on (provided by me of course) and do some beekeeping. With my help, you will be guided through the basic steps involved in a hive inspection. All of what we have learned during the day will be put into practice for what I promise to be an inspiring journey into the world of the Northern European Honeybee, Apis mellifera Mellifera. Other things to note Bees can and do sting from time to time. I need to know if you have an allergy, and how severe it is. Guests must arrange their own transportation. The bus from Cork stops close to the house.

1700s Dublin Coffee & Tea Culture
COFFEE IN 1700s DUBLIN We will begin at City Hall the start of coffee and tea culture in Dublin. Our walk takes us through beautiful streets and we visit curious 1700's sites. Transport was slow and wit was quick! Dublin was a hotbed of intrigue and the Second City in the old British Empire. Yet it was difficult to find the action with censorship. Coffee Houses were where the news was printed! Known as penny universities, centres of commerce and trade where so much of Dublin life was lived. We will tour for an hour stopping at significant points where duels were fought, merchants traded, information was exchanged and coffee was drunk. Was there tea? Let's find out! We will immerse ourselves in the characters such as Johnathon Swift and how he closed the curtains with the drapers. We will learn about the people who published, public auctions and lives which were lived by the new rich of 1700's Dublin. We will see how they influenced the arts, public thinking and commerce. We will have quotes and drama to understand the players in a very different time. This is fun and light-hearted Tour has a Coffee Tasting Experience to imagine what 1700's Dublin felt, looked and tasted. Our tasting location is the oldest shop in Dublin 1670 For tea lover have a 1700s tea party, with silver pots & china cups. Locations, City Hall Dublin Castle Hoey Lane Scarlett Row Parliament St

At the top of the climb the views become even more stunning, sometimes if the moon is full its almost like a spiritual experience guys, when your in the mountain at night and the silence and depth of the forest really does wash away any stress, negative energy and just beams connection with nature. We will start with a relatively easy cycle up hill, which we can walk, depending on your fitness level. Then into our first single track decent. Galway's legendary walking tour !
The legendary tour centers around the tale of the Lynch family. Its a fascinating tale of how Walter Lynch is accused and tried for the murder of a visiting Spaniard who was a little too interested in his beautiful wife to be...or was he ? The story ends in a dramatic climax...but you will have to take the tour for that finale ! We also look at the legend of the Claddagh ring with a tale connected to Caribbean pirates, North African slave owners and a gold ring that speaks of eternal love. Christopher Columbus makes his appearance too, looking for a new way to China, but worrying that Atlantis might stand in his way. These and other tales are woven together in a 80-90 minute walk through the city. Its taken at a gentle pace to bring in all the major places of interest and embed them into the story of our city. Other things to note Dont worry about it raining - we have plenty of places to hide out of the rain !
