We will meet in one of my favourite spaces in Homerton before taking a short walk to our local East London market street, Chatsworth Road. We will meet my greengrocer and gather our main ingredients, depending on what's going and what we fancy making on the day. From there, we will head into the heart of Hackney, to my kitchen where we will make some jam or a chutney, bottle most of it and eat some of it for afternoon tea.

You will take home a jar of jam made on the day.
Other things to note
We will be walking approximately ½ a mile, please wear suitable shoes and be prepared for the weather accordingly. Please wear clothes that are suitable for cooking in, as it can be a sticky business!

We will visit Chatsworth Road, an up-and-coming area reknown for its Sunday market, where there are fruit and veg market stalls and local green grocers that will have everything we need. From there, we will walk back to our Victorian terraced house to do our preparations.

Making a jam with Tracey was a truly interesting experience! As a person lived in the UK for a few years, jams are one of British specialities. So, I desired to learn making authentic jam. Luckily, there was one on Airbnb experience with lovely host Tracey! She explained the process so easily and fully shared her recipe from the vintage cookbook:) Moreover, Tracey is informative all about preserves. The additional making chutney was fascinating. I highly recommend this to a person who are interested in making preserves.

Tracey was very informative and engaging. I learned so much about jam making and have now taken it on as a hobby. Her house was very cool yet quaint and she was really kind. I would highly recommend it

Very nice experience with Tracey! We learnt a lot; and the jam and chutney we made were delicious! This was also the opportunity for us to discover a part of London that we didn't know. We had a great time.

Excellent experience, I had a great time with Tracey, who taught me a lot of stuff about jams. We got to make apricot and plum jam as well as an apple chutney. All of them were delicious. She is very open and we ended discussing about a bunch of subjects. I had a great time and I absolutely recommend this class.
