On this cooking experience, you will embark with me on a journey into some of the finest regional culinary traditions of Italy, peppered with anecdotes about Italian food and grandma's cooking secrets :) You'll see: making your own pasta is not as daunting as you think! And you can take home my recipe too.

This class includes dinner at the end of the session as well!!

Options:

**One-Time Class** Choose from are:
a) Home-made Pasta with different types of sauce
b) Risotto
c) Gnocchi
d) Tortino Salato (savory shortcrust pie)
For all the recipes, I have vegetarian options as well.

**Set of 4 Classes** (Full Course Meal) (Special Discount Available!)

1) Starters: Either Eggplant Millefeuille layered with Gorgonzola and Basil Cream, or Ham and Cheese/Ricotta and Spinach Shortcrust pie alongside Bacon or Veggie Frittata Mini-Muffins
2) Home-Made Pasta or Risotto
3) Entrees: Meatballs, Rosemary Beef Arrosto, Involtini or Roasted Chicken with Lemon and White Wine Sauce. For Vegetarians: Eggplant Parmigiana or Stuffed Peppers
4) Desserts: Crostata (Shortcrust Pie) with Jam or Cream, Tiramisu' or Italian Style Apple Cake

Fish Menu available on request at a slightly higher​ budget.

Ciao! My name is Francesco and I am originally from Modena, the city where the world-famous "Aceto balsamico" (balsamic vinegar) comes from and the region where the well known-made pasta-making tradition originates (tortellini, ravioli, and tagliatelle to name just a few.)
I have always been very passionate about cooking and now that I live in New York I'd like to share my experience and knowledge with you. I worked as a sous-chef for several Italian restaurants for 2 years, both in Italy and The Netherlands, cooking full​l course meals for up to 200 guests.

The cooking class will take place at my apartment in Manhattan (Hell's Kitchen). It is very accessible via subway on the C/E, 1, and N, W, R trains.

This is my first cooking class ever, and I really enjoyed it. Don’t be scared if you’re a first timer, Francesco will teach you all the things you need to do and need to know to make a really good italian dishes. So I chose to make a tagliatelle, and I really loved the recipe. We made the pasta fresh, and cooked the bolognese fresh as well. Francesco is also really knowledgeable, you can ask him about any cuisines, and he would be glad to answer all your questions. He also gave me a nice banana cake and some good drinks, would definitely come back here!

Francesco was a great teacher and host. I work as a chef and my girlfriend is a beginner home cook but he was able to explain everything and answer every question we had with ease. Fun, relaxing, and informative; it's a great experience.

This class was the gem in our NYC trip! Francesco’s expertise with pasta was amazing, and we so appreciated the care and attention to detail. He goes out of his way to accommodate, and has great stories about the process of cooking. It was a special evening for reuniting with my mom, sister and niece to create cherished memories. We hope to book another class in the future, and highly recommend!

The cooking class was inspirational. Making your own pasta at home is great but when you use Francescos tips, its just like a night out at an italian restaurant.

We had the best time at Francesco’s pasta making class! First, we accidentally got the time wrong and showed up 30 minutes early, but Francesco was nothing but kind and welcoming and started the class early for us. He is incredible knowledgeable about not only pasta, but most traditional Italian cuisine, and he happily answered all of my girlfriend’s questions. He was incredibly kind and such a gracious host — it made the experience so special. The pasta was obviously incredible; we honestly couldn’t believe we had made it ourselves. We definitely feel able to do it on our own now, but want to come back and take the rest of Francesco’s classes ASAP! Thanks again Francesco for such a lovely day!!

It was very easy to communicate with Francesco prior to the class about what we would like to learn how to make and if any dietary restrictions. Easy to meet up and Francesco has a nice setting ready with pleasant and relaxing jazz music on. The class style was informative and easy to follow. At the end of the class we could enjoy the result of the cooking and glass of wine that Francesco offer. Francesco is also generous in sharing cooking tips for any other dishes as he is very experienced in cooking.
