Какво ще правите

We will be exploring a decommissioned Top Secret underground Military Base.

The Atlas F Missile Silo once held a Intercontinental Ballistic Missile with a 4 Megaton Nuclear Warhead.

You will descend down multiple flights of stairs, past an entrapment area, and two large blast doors before entering the former "Ready Room" where the Missileers had a kitchen, bathroom, and bunkbeds.

Next you will go down another flight of stairs to the Launch Control Room, where the original launch desk still sits abandoned by the Air Force over 50 years ago.

For the adventurous explorer, we will go through a tunnel to access the 176 ft. deep Missile Silo, which was half filled with water upon decommissioning.

On the surface we will take look at a small bunker made for a telescopic antenna which would ascend to the surface for communications to Strategic Air Command.

We will walk along paths I've created which go to the two wells and the foundations for the water treatment plant, and two Quonset Hut building which were removed years ago.

During your tour you will learn about Cold War history, and how the Atlas rockets were not used as weapons of mass destruction, but instead were repurposed for NASA and the great Space Race.

Your tour will help fund the refurbishing of the former Missile Base into an educational center for STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Mathematic
Other things to note
This is an Adventure Experience which will involve outdoor activities such as hiking the Missile Base property, climbing stairs, and exploring dark tunnels which lead to the Silo. Wear clothes and shoes which you don't mind getting a little dirty or wet, and bring a flashlight.

We have been working with the acquisition and sales of underground bunkers since 2010, and have owned an Atlas F Missile Silo since 2013, which we now host tours and camping through Airbnb.

Over the years we have visited lots of different Missile Bases, Communication Bunkers, and underground Military Bases which have all been decommissioned and are available for purchase from the public.

Currently I am working on remodeling the Launch Control Center for the Atlas F Missile Base.

I am a world traveler, adventurer, & custom woodworker with a background in hospitality. My wife Leigh Ann is my cohost, a massage therapist, personal trainer & amazing chef! We love going on adventures while meeting & having fun with new people on Airbnb.

Къде ще бъдете

Atlas F Missile Silo located in the Smoky Hills of Kansas, near Wilson, KS home of the world's largest Czech Egg.
This is a historic site, which is currently under construction being repurposed into the non-profit headquarters for the Ad Astra S.T.E.A.M. Institute.
Enjoy watching clean energy being created from a 250 MW wind farm.
We are in the Post Rock region where fence post were made of natural limestone, as were houses, barns & small towns

This was a super fun trip for my kids and I. We learned a little about the history of the base and the tour was a lot of fun. We look forward to seeing the progress Matthew makes in the coming years on this project. I would highly recommend you take the tour if you get the chance.

A really unique thing to do, to experience a piece of history. We learned things that we didn’t know we didn’t know and Matthew was able to answer any question we came up with. His passion for what he was doing was very exciting and we hope you accomplishes everything that he has planned. Will check back in a few years.

Excellent advneture. Matthew was knowledgeable and passionate about teaching about the history of the missile silo and showing what each section was used for, and his hopes/dreams of the future of the silo as a model for a disaster readiness project to help people in their homes.
