This thoughtfully designed ride through Tampa is truly a great introduction to our wonderful city. Guests will arrive to our launch site, where all of our kayaks will be ready to go, and be given instruction on how to operate our kayaks, paddle with manatees, and the safety guidelines! Once that is complete I will get guests on the water and start our 2-2.5hr tour. We paddle to some areas where the manatees might be and also some fresh water springs! During the tour, I will inform the guests about the area and answer any questions they might have. Once we're nearing the end of the tour, I will give them instruction on how to exit the water. Once everyone is off the water, I thank them and send them on their way! Also, Airbnb does not collect taxes so that has been included in the price as well.

Come experience the wonderful world of the honeybee where we encourage you to take pictures. We begin our 1 1/2 hour experience near Tampa, Florida. I have several different locations to choose from ranging from Farm to urban areas. The address showing will not necessarily be the place that you will have your experience. I can be flexible as to location. We will begin with a demonstration of the equipment utilized in beekeeping as well as dressing up in our full bee suits and then immediately start the hands-on experience. At this point you will be able to see, feel, hear and touch apis mellifera (the European honey bee!) as I guide you to a better understanding of these amazing creatures. During our time together you will manipulate equipment, ask questions and get a practical appreciation of the bees. After, you will enjoy a refreshment while we discuss your recent experiences. Upon completion, we provide a 5 oz honey jar and honey dipper to say thank you and as a memento of being a beekeper for a day! Things to note: There is always a chance of getting stung, So if you are allergic to bees please come with your epi-pen or choose a different experience. We want you to come away from this feeling alive and in tune with the natural world. The climate here can be hot and humid or cold and damp, please dress accordingly. You will be wearing a full bee suit.

Your experience begins with a 10 minute introductory lesson on how to behave around a horse, how mount a horse, and how to ride. We then embark on an exclusive access 70 minute trail ride to the Lake Proctor Wilderness area and a chance to explore undeveloped Florida. We’ll venture through various ecosystems that make up the 475 acre Lake Proctor Wilderness area. Pine scrub, pine flatwoods, sandhill and bayhead swamps covered all of Central Florida when Conquistadors and settlers explored these lands long before Disney. Each is a distinct eco system, and change before your eyes as thick palmettos and tall pines lead into sprawling oaks heavy with Spanish Moss and resurrection ferns. Trails bright with lichens and moss give way to brackish waters and rich black mud. As we loop back toward home, keep an eye out for bald eagles, sandhill cranes, pileated woodpeckers, a gopher tortoise, and maybe even a gator. Other things to note There is a weight limit of 215. No previous horseback riding experience is required. Any allergies to insects, horses, grass or in general must be disclosed.

Thank you to our lovely customers for making us the most popular kayak tour in Tampa Bay! Our kayaking eco tour explores both the wonderful waters & beautiful beaches of Shell Key Preserve. This is an entirely outdoors experience! We do have to adjust daily tour times to work with the tides+weather so please LET US KNOW if you are only available for the 1 time slot you select. We'll meet everyone at the launch, do introductions, give waterproof bags,& get everyone prepped for kayaking. No experience needed as we'll give everyone a paddling overview! We use primarily double kayaks for ease+comfort. (Your booking time is the planned arrival time. Average water depth 2 feet) After that we'll get launched into Shell Key Preserve! The Preserve is a beautiful shallow environment with tons of wildlife & a very interesting ecosystem which we'll discuss plus the history of the Preserve! From the shallow seagrass flats to the large mangrove islands to the pristine beaches of Shell Key itself we'll try and cover it all! Including traveling through some mangrove tunnels (with friendly tides, primarily Mar-Oct) We'll also look for+talk about some of our incredible wildlife in the Preserve including dolphins, manatees, & other fish & birds! We will provide jet ski rides and participate in other water activities, such as tours about the lakes we are riding on, water skiing on different lakes in and around Orlando. If it’s your first time no worries, safety instructions and comprehension on how to operate jet skis will be reviewed before use. Life jackets and other gear will be provided. Capt Yak is a Veteran owned business. We will explore through and around Mangrove Islands, Beds of Sea Grasses and Sand Bars on Comfortable and Easy Paddling Kayaks. Our Sit-On-Top Kayaks are outfitted with adjustable seats with back support that add comfort and paddling ease to your trip. The seat position also allows you to see the abundant sea life below much better than the old style Sit-In Kayaks. Birds, stingrays, horseshoe crabs, shells, manatees and dolphins are some of the wildlife you may see. Your route will be based on the tide and wind to make the paddle as easy and enjoyable as possible. Mid way through the tour we will stop at Shell Key where you can Search for shells, take a stroll, swim or just sit an relax. Shell Key is the largest undeveloped barrier Island in the county and vital to the preserve's ecosystem. With nearly thirty years experience conducting field research and working in the zoo field, Greg has acquired a vast amount of knowledge that crosses over to his passion of kayaking.

We are Shell Key's #1 kayak tour. We provide 2 guides on every tour to ensure your safety and enjoyment. Upon arrival, guests will be offered a paddle instruction, making this experience perfect for both experts and first-timers. We use comfortable sit-inside kayaks and paddle at a leisurely pace through the preserve while I tell about the local history, and wildlife & nature we find along the way. Depending on tidal conditions, we will explore one or more of the hidden mangrove tunnels tucked away in the preserve. Approximately half-way through the tour, we will stop at one of several possible landing sites at the island of Shell Key to stretch our legs, swim, snorkel, or collect shells. After enjoying the island, we will make our way back through the preserve, possibly visiting areas or tunnels we did not see before, always keeping a watchful eye out for dolphins, manatees, and the many species of birds that live in the area. Come snuggle with baby goats and more. We will meet at the picnic tables at Sweet Berry Barn where we will discuss safely handling animals. Then we will bring out baby goats, bunnies, horses and a Kunekune pig. They are cuddle bugs ready to play. You may hold them, feed and take lots of pictures.

One of Florida’s largest springs, offers countless ways to enjoy its beautiful natural environment and crystalline springs that remain 72 degrees year-round. Join us and lounge around the small beach at the Headsprings and dive into a cordoned-off swimming area. We'll also take a stroll through the woods and experience lush, mossy hammocks, sloping hills, ornamental gardens and man-made waterfalls. For the kayak enthusiast there are available rentals on site, you will have some free time in case you would like to do this. We'll meet at the meeting location as described in the details, from there we'll depart to the springs. The trip is about 1:40 - 2:00 hrs depending on outside conditions like weather and traffic. I will explain the safety rules and get you familiar with the equipment you will use in the game. Then I’ll show you the field and explain the basic games you can play. Then we will make two teams and we’ll play a minimum of three games of paintball, and even more if you wish. At the end, we will play one more game called Free For All,which is similar to the game PUBG- Players Unknown Battlegrounds.
