This is a small group 2.5+ hour bike tour of 3 architecturally/historically significant neighborhoods in South Palm Springs, lead by either myself or my expert assistant guide, Tim. You'll be biking on quiet streets, no hills, constant sunshine, & very little traffic. All of which makes for a great ride for novices or expert cyclists alike. We’ll explore the neighborhoods of Deepwell Estates, Twin Palms, & Indian Canyons. We’ll see great examples of homes designed by Krisel, Wexler, Eichler, & built by the Alexander Construction Company. We'll also see the homes of some Hollywood celebrities. We’ll stop at specific homes to discuss their architectural & historical details, but you're encouraged to stop anywhere along the way to take photos. So, duration can vary, but it's usually about 2.5 hours. Please arrive a little early--we can wait 10 min for late guests. Please note: This tour is designed for serious architecture and history fans, with a lot of academic-level information and detail. It may not be the most enjoyable tour for some children.

Along the way, I'll share fun stories about the stars that made this town the movie capital of the world. I’ll tell you stories of Charlie Chaplin and Marilyn Monroe, I’ll show you a hotel where Marilyn lived and still haunts, where she went on dates, where gangsters made deals, a hidden speakeasy, where Quentin Tarantino filmed “Once Upon A Time in Hollywood.” You'll also get to hear what Hollywood is like today from my perspective as a working actress , what’s its like to audition and work for big movie directors like Francis Ford Coppola or big tv shows like ‘You ‘or ‘American Crime Story Versace’, how casting directors cast tv shows etc. I’ll reveal secrets only insiders to the movie industry know! Guests will be transported from a centrally-located site in San Diego county to the international border in San Ysidro. With a Permit application already completed by host from information provided by guests, crossing the border will be cut from a potential 1 hour to about 10 minutes. Along with a brief historical account and cultural explanation, the experience will include a visit to the Friendship Park, a stroll through historic Revolucion street, as well as a the visit to several iconic areas of the city which will lead to a better understanding of its development. Visitors will also explore a colorful local market, where they will interact with local vendors, learn about, and have the opportunity to sample indigenous foods. The tour will conclude with a visit to a local food court where guests will have the opportunity to savor Tijuana's fusion cuisine, also known as Baja-Med. Finally, they will be driven to the international border, picked up and taken back to the original meeting location in San Diego. The host will escort guests the entire time. Take in stunning views of the High Desert of the Mojave, accompanied by goats. We’ll meet our 15 friendly Nubian goats in their pens. They’ll wait for us to open their gate, and then these loving animals will show us the way. We’ll follow the herd at an easy pace into desert washes and onto boulders, where we’ll find beautiful spots to sit and chat—or simply gaze into the silence of the landscape, the gaping sky, and the goats enjoying themselves. We’ll walk about three miles and return with the goats after the sunset. Other things to note No phone connection the last 4.7 miles of dirt roads ( easy access :) & @ The Farm Long pants & suitable shoes for hiking are essential. Sun protection and hat. Plenty of water. Cat is international award-winning variety performer Vixen DeVille with 15 years experience in Fire Eating and Flame Manipulation. At the newly renovated Theatre 68 Arts Complex she will take you through the theory and safety precautions behind fire eating and body burning. We'll then actually light up the torches and explore this performance art fully with hand transfers, tongue transfers and of course, extinguishing the flame with your mouth. This is NOT an illusion! By the end of the session you'll be fire eating and body burning like a pro. Other things to note: Wear close-fitting clothes, sleeveless is ideal and either leggings or shorts. Flat shoes, no heels. Avoid wearing lipstick or body moisturizer & avoid use of hairspray. Long hair should be tied back. Take a tandem Hang Glider flight with an accredited instructor over Southern California. I'll handle the takeoff and landing, and you'll get to enjoy the amazing experience of soaring in a hang glider on a 15- to 45-minute flight. I’ll point out landmarks from above and explain how to maneuver the glider. If you’re up for it—and conditions allow—you may even get to take the controls for a bit. Other things to note This is a weather-dependent sport. Flight and flight times will vary based on weather.

First we will stop at the Bellagio Casino and experience beautiful live gardens, it is arguable the most scenic garden in the country and changes several times throughout the year to match the seasons. Directly outside towards Las Vegas Blvd, we will get to shoot with amazing views of The Strip. Then we will head to the Wynn and Encore casinos for a more upscale atmosphere. Here we will visit more indoor gardens and outdoor fountains, beautiful casino interiors, luxury shops, upscale dining, waterfalls, and extremely high end art displays. We will finish on the south side of the strip at the Tropicana Casino. There you will see all the way down the strip from the south, surrounded by the New York New York, Excalibur, and MGM Grand. Guests will have photos taken at all three Casino locations. You’ll have everything you need, and a safe place to store your belongings. All of my highlighted photo ops have been preselected and in walking distance to covered parking. These tours are meant to be private. You will not share your time with other groups. All photos are delivered electronically within 48 hours. You will receive full access to a minimum of 200 photos. We will take a hawk for a walk thru a local vineyard. Our trained hawk will fly from your gloved hand to fly free over the vineyard and come back to you again. We will spend at least an hour interacting with the birds. You will meet a falcon, “Jack” the eagle owl (who you will fall in love with) and a Harris hawk that we will free fly in the vineyard. Afterwards we will go wine tasting the wine from the vineyard you were in. The winemaker “Larry” is a fun person to talk to as he will explain how he makes his wine and help you to enjoy his naturally grown grapes that make his wine unique. Other things to note This is an outdoor experience so dress appropriately. Rain or extreme winds will cause cancellations.

Learn to brew coffee like a pro with a pro. Our mission is to help coffee lovers to learn more and develop skills to become better brewers. Every workshop is unique and comes with personalized brewing assistance and Q&A. Nobody should experience the struggle of making a great cup of coffee as you experienced it in a shop. We will introduce the principles behind coffee brewing: ratios, grind, water, filtration, and pouring. We will first taste 3 different ratios and 2 different grind sizes to illustrate the theory behind them. ​After some solid foundations, let's make some coffee. We will learn how to adapt your recipes and pouring patterns based on the coffee you are using and also your preference. We will be using a cone-shaped followed by a flat bottom dripper. La Jolla Bay is a Marine Protected Area that is home to a thriving ecosystem that boasts a high concentration of sea life, has a natural boat launch, which allows safe ocean entry year-round, and is famous for its Sea Caves and Marine Reserve. No experience is required. Great for all skill levels. Your guide will kick things off with a paddle tutorial on the beach. If surf exists, we will help push your kayak through any breakers. As we paddle through La Jolla’s Marine Reserve keep an eye out for Seals, Sea Lions, Sea Turtles, Pelicans, Dolphin and Gray whales in the fall/winter. Note: We cannot guarantee sea life. If conditions are safe, we will help guide your kayak into Emerald Cave. If it's not safe to enter Emerald Cave, we will still paddle out & explore La Jolla's World-Famous Marine Reserve. Update: We have been OPEN and SAFE since May, 2020 The La Jolla Ecological Reserve is the premiere kayak and snorkeling spot on California’s coast. To fully interact with all the amazing sea life in the area, our kayak and snorkel tour is a great option. The coolest part bout this experience is you get to see what's above and below the water! We kayak over by Sunny Jim's cave, where your guide will anchor the kayaks together. While snorkeling we see sea lions, seals, bat rays, Garibaldi (Nemo's Cousin), and sometimes sea turtles. Note: we cannot guarantee what sea life or any sea life we will encounter. La Jolla Bay is the premier snorkeling spot along Southern California's coast, but there are days that the visibility might only be 5 feet or can be as good as 50 feet. This tour is 2 hours and typically we snorkel for 20-30 minutes, max. Being able to swim is advised. If conditions are not safe enough to anchor the kayaks at Sunny's Jim's cave we will instead snorkel the kelp forest. Note: We DO NOT kayak or snorkel inside any of any caves on this tour. Yin Yoga is a slow and meditative class that is composed of seated and reclined poses, each held anywhere from 2-7 minutes. This unique style focuses on targeting the connective tissues (bones, joints, ligaments and fascia.) This class emphasizes body awareness and does require a physical effort to hold the poses which may be challenging at times but also deepens the meditative experience. This class is a great compliment to more dynamic and muscular practices. I will accompany the poses with the vibrational healing properties of such instruments as singing bowls, gongs, or chimes, etc. The vibrational effect aids in opening the body and release energetic blockages we often store deep within. Gardening Bootcamp with Dr. Organic (Chuy Morales) will provide you with a mastery of the basic skills you need to become a successful organic gardener. This class will give you the knowledge you need to create an edible garden landscape at your home, or to ignite on a journey into small scale farming to provide food to your family and community. The class is taught at Dr. Organic's 2 acre farm Infinite Acres, in Ojai, CA. It is a beautiful outdoor classroom and includes shaded seating areas and refreshments for all students. You will leave the morning with a plan for your garden that you will create with materials we will provide and which Dr. Organic will help you create. You will have the chance to purchase seeds, produce from the farm and other gardening related resources that you can take home to jump start your gardening goals.
